Smoked Gouda Chive Spread

Smoked Gouda Chive SpreadServe this delicious smoked gouda spread with cocktail rye bread or pumpernickel bread slices.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 cups Wisconsin Smoked Gouda Cheese, shredded
1/4 cup butter, cubed and softened
1/4 cup fresh chives, snipped
1 tablespoon coarse ground mustard
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish, or to taste
1/4 cup amber or dark beer, room temperature
Cocktail rye or pumpernickel bread slices

Cooking Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, blend Wisconsin Smoked Gouda Cheese and butter; mix well.
  2. Stir in chives, mustard, horseradish and beer until blended.
  3. Chill.
  4. Serve as a spread with cocktail bread.

Makes 2 1/2 cups.
