Cocoa Brownies with Walnuts

Recipe Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease an 8x8x2-inch pan; set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, and unsweetened baking cocoa. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Stir into the creamed mixture adding vanilla and chopped walnuts.
  4. Spread in prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the center is set. Cool.

Makes 16 brownies.
