Easy Cream Cheese Fruit Squares
These easy dessert squares have a graham cracker crust with a vanilla cheesecake layer topped with canned fruit pie filling.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar - divided use
1/3 cup butter
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
3 (8-ounce each) packages cream cheese
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (21-ounce) can fruit pie filling, any flavor
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375ºF (175ºC).
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1/4 cup sugar and butter; heat until the butter is melted and smooth. Stir in graham cracker crumbs until well mixed. Press evenly over the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch baking pan
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat 24-ounces cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in 3/4 cup sugar, then eggs, one at a time, and finally vanilla. Spoon pie filling over the crust and top with the cream cheese mixture.
- Bake just until set, about 45 to 50 minutes. Cool then chill until cold, about 2 hours before cutting into squares.
Makes 24 squares.
