No-Bake Apricot Cream Bars
Simply irresistible, these no-bake bars have a chocolate crumb crust and a creamy, honey-sweet apricot and toasted hazelnut filling.
1 1/2 cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs, about 9 crackers
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup crème (spreadable) honey
1/2 cup finely chopped dried apricots
1/2 cup finely chopped toasted hazelnuts
- Line 8-inch square baking pan with plastic wrap.
- In medium bowl, mix together crumbs and butter. Press half of mixture into pan. Chill until firm.
- In small bowl, blend honey with apricots and hazelnuts. Spread mixture over crust. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Press lightly with fingertips. Chill until firm.
- Cut into 2-inch squares. Bars may be stored in refrigerator or at room temperature in an airtight container.
Makes 16 bars.
