Hawaiian Buttermilk Punch

No recipe image available.Buttermilk is naturally low-fat, and when blended with pineapple, honey, vanilla and ice, makes a creamy, thick and slushy punch that is delicious. Unless you share with your guests the name of this punch, they'll have no clue buttermilk is a key ingredient.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice, chilled
1/2 cup honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
10 ice cubes
2 quarts buttermilk
Orange slices for garnish

Cooking Directions:

  1. Combine half the crushed pineapple with juice, 1/4 cup honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 5 ice cubes and 2 cups buttermilk in blender container. Cover and blend until ice cubes are dissolved and mixture is frothy.
  2. Pour into punch bowl. Repeat.
  3. Gradually stir in remaining buttermilk.
  4. Garnish with orange slices.

Makes 25 (1/2 cup) servings.
