Hawaiian Buttermilk Punch
Buttermilk is naturally low-fat, and when blended with pineapple, honey, vanilla and ice, makes a creamy, thick and slushy punch that is delicious. Unless you share with your guests the name of this punch, they'll have no clue buttermilk is a key ingredient.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice, chilled
1/2 cup honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
10 ice cubes
2 quarts buttermilk
Orange slices for garnish
Cooking Directions:
- Combine half the crushed pineapple with juice, 1/4 cup honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 5 ice cubes and 2 cups buttermilk in blender container. Cover and blend until ice cubes are dissolved and mixture is frothy.
- Pour into punch bowl. Repeat.
- Gradually stir in remaining buttermilk.
- Garnish with orange slices.
Makes 25 (1/2 cup) servings.
