Hot Strawberry Malt
Try something deliciously unique for a change -- a hot, strawberry ice cream malt.
Recipe Ingredients:
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon instant malted milk powder
2 cups strawberry ice cream
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Cooking Directions:
- Stovetop Directions: In a small saucepan stir together the milk and malted milk powder. Stir in 1 cup of the strawberry ice cream. Cook and stir over medium heat about 5 minutes or until ice cream is melted and mixture is hot.
- Divide remaining ice cream between two (12-ounce) mugs. Pour the hot mixture over. If desired, add 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream to each mug.
- Microwave Directions: In a 4 cup nonmetal measuring cup combine the milk and malted milk powder. Stir until powder is dissolved. Add 1 cup of the strawberry ice cream. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 3 to 4 minutes or until the ice cream is melted. Continue as directed above.
