Kiwi Pear Smoothie

Kiwi Pear SmoothieA delicious and healthy breakfast drink or snack. When pears are not in season, use canned pears.

Recipe Ingredients:

6 kiwifruit
8 ounces plain yogurt
1 cup pears, peeled and diced
1 banana, peeled and chunked
1/4 cup honey
1 cup ice cubes, crushed

Cooking Directions:

  1. Combine the yogurt, pears, banana and honey in a blender. Pulse until smooth and blended.
  2. Add ice cubes one at a time and process until smooth.
  3. Slice kiwifruit into halves and spoon fruit into the blender with the rest of the smoothie. Pulse until just blended.

Makes 4 servings.
