Pick-Your-Fruit Smoothie
Dust off your blender and make a fruitful smoothie for you and your family.
Recipe Ingredients:
2 cups strawberry-flavored juice blend or strawberry drink, chilled
2 cups fresh or frozen, unsweetened strawberries
1 (8-ounce) carton plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toasted wheat germ with brown sugar and honey (optional)
Cooking Directions:
- In a blender container combine strawberry juice blend, strawberries, yogurt, sugar, and vanilla. Cover and blend until nearly smooth (there should be small chunks of strawberry still visible).
- Divide among 4 glasses. Sprinkle with wheat germ, if desired.

- Be flavor creative and mix and match using other fresh or frozen fruits and fruit juices like cut-up peaches and mango nectar or bananas with orange juice. Or, simply use milk in place of the juice.
- For a thicker smoothie, use frozen fruit, or toss a handful of ice cubes into the blender and process until smooth.
