Country White Bread
A recipe for Country White Bread prepared with a bread machine.
1 cup warm milk (110°F to 115°F | 45°C)
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 large egg
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
4 cups bread flour
1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer. (Usually wet ingredients first, then dry and lastly the yeast.)
- Select the Basic bread cycle and start machine.
Makes 1 (2 pound) loaf.
Note: Because of the milk and raw egg, do not use the time delay for this recipe.
