Sourdough Discard Sandwich Bread

Kick up your sandwiches a notch or two by using this excellent recipe for sourdough sandwich bread. This recipe is written for bread machines.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups sourdough discard (unfed starter)
3/4 cup warm water
4 cups bread flour
1 3/4 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 3/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Cooking Directions:

1. Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
2. Select Basic bread cycle and start machine.

Makes 1 (2 pound) loaf.
