French Toast Casserole
A French toast casserole made with a mixture of eggs, milk, maple syrup and cubes of bread and cream cheese.
8 slices white bread
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, cubed
12 large eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
1/3 cup maple syrup
- Remove crusts from bread, cut bread into 1-inch cubes. Place bread cubes in a well-greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish; top with cream cheese cubes.
- Combine eggs, milk, and syrup in a large bowl, stirring with a wire whisk until blended; pour over bread/cheese mixture in baking dish.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350°F (175°C) for 45 to 50 minutes or until set and golden. Serve immediately.
Makes 8 servings.
