Thick and Fluffy Sourdough Pancakes

Thick and Fluffy Sourdough PancakesStart the day with these hearty, thick and fluffy sourdough pancakes.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 cup Sourdough Starter
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Cooking Directions:

  1. Mix together sourdough starter mix, flour, egg, oil, buttermilk, salt, baking soda, and sugar. Set aside for a few minutes and let the mixture bubble and foam.
  2. Lightly grease a hot griddle. Drop the batter by 1/4 cup onto the griddle and cook until golden brown, turning once.

Makes 8 to 10 pancakes.

Tip: For thinner pancakes, add more buttermilk until desired consistency is obtained.
