Luscious Three-Step Cake
This terrific recipe for Luscious Three-Step Cake was submitted in 1999 by an unnamed visitor to CooksRecipes.com.
1 (18.25-ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12-ounce) container non-dairy whipped topping
4 Heath candy bars, crushed (chocolate covered toffee bars)
- Mix and bake the cake according to package directions, using 13x9x2-inch pan.
- While cake is hot, poke holes with a fork all over the top of the cake. Spread the sweetened condensed milk all over top of the cake so it will seep down the holes. Cool completely.
- Frost with whipped topping. Sprinkle crushed Heath bars over top. Refrigerate.
Makes 15 to 18 servings.
Note: I have tried the toffee bits in place of the crushed Heath bars and it is not as good!
