Pound Cake
A rich and buttery, whole wheat pound cake flavored with three natural sweeteners, honey, pure maple syrup and molasses.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons pure molasses
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup milk
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together butter, honey, maple syrup, molasses, and eggs. Add vanilla, lemon juice, and milk. Beat in whole wheat flour and baking powder. Pour into greased and floured loaf pans.
- Bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
Makes 12 servings.
