Sandra's Chocolate Cake
This terrific recipe for Sandra's Chocolate Cake was submitted by Sandra Rick of Amite, LA.
1 (18.25-ounce) package devils food cake mix
1 (8-ounce) container sour cream (1 cup)
4 large eggs
1 (3.9-ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with vegetable cooking spray.
- Combine all ingredients except chocolate chips in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3 to 4 minuutes. Stir in chocolate chips (batter will be thick). Spread in prepared pan.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from sides and cake springs back with lightly touched (cake will look undercooked). Cool on a wire rack.
Makes 12 servings.
