Spice Cookie Mix

Easiest recipe for a 'homemade' cookie mix ever. A great, last minute gift idea!

Recipe Ingredients:

1 (18.25-ounce) package spice cake mix
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

Cooking Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients; store in an airtight container.

Makes 5 1/4 cups mix.

Directions for Gift Recipe Card:

• Place Spice Cookie Mix in a large bowl; stir in 1 large egg, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  
• Drop by round teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
  
• Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool. Makes 5 dozen.
