Easy Chocolate Mousse
This 'blender version' is absolutely the easiest chocolate mousse you'll ever make—and it is just as delicious as it is easy, like heaven on spoon!
Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 large fresh egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream, heated*
Sweetened whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Fresh strawberries for garnish and/or accompaniment (optional)
Cooking Directions:
- Place chocolate chips, egg and vanilla into the container of electric blender and blend for 30 seconds.
- Remove center of blender lid and while machine is running, slowly pour heated cream into the chocolate mixture. Blend until well mixed and chocolate chips are melted.
- Pour into dessert cups, parfait or other stemmed glassware. Refrigerate until set.
- Serve garnished with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream and a partially-sliced and fanned out strawberry, with whole fresh strawberries on the side, if desired.
Makes 4 servings.
*Heat just until hot, do not boil.
