Frozen Custard Caramel Butter Sundae
Watch the smiles appear when you serve this scrumptious sundae—homemade buttery caramel and toasted pecan sauce, with fresh banana slices, served over frozen vanilla custard.
Recipe Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter (no substitutes)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup whipping cream
6 small bananas, quartered
Vanilla frozen custard or ice cream
Cooking Directions:
- Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add pecans; sauté 3 minutes or until foamy and fragrant.
- Stir in brown sugar and whipping cream. Bring to boil; continue boiling 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
- Gently stir in bananas; let stand 5 minutes.
- Serve over vanilla frozen custard (or ice cream).
