Frozen Orange Date Molds
A delicious and refreshing frozen dessert made with cream cheese, orange juice, crushed pineapple, chopped dates, maraschino cherries and orange peel.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup orange juice
1 (8.25-ounce) crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup finely chopped pitted dates
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup maraschino cherries, halved
1/2 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
1 cup whipping cream
Cooking Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl combine cream cheese and orange juice. Beat until fluffy. Stir in pineapple, dates, nuts, cherries, and orange peel.
- Whip the cream until soft peaks form. Fold whipped cream into fruit mixture.
- Spoon into 9 individual molds or one 8x4x2-inch loaf dish. Cover and freeze until firm.
- Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes before serving.
