Hot Cereal Mix
Make your own instant oatmeal mix. This is a great gift! Add boiling water, let sit until thick, and eat! You may substitute your favorite dried fruit for the raisins if you wish.
Recipe Ingredients:
5 cups instant oatmeal
4 tablespoons Splenda® Granulated No Calorie Sweetener
3 tablespoons dry milk powder
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Cooking Directions:
- In a large bowl combine oatmeal, Splenda® Granulated Sweetener, dry milk, raisins, chopped nuts, and cinnamon. Transfer ingredients to an airtight container or jar to store until ready to use.
- To serve: Place 1 cup of mixture and 1/2 to 3/4 cup boiling water (depending how thick you like your oatmeal) into a cereal bowl. Let stand until thickened.
Makes 10 servings. Serving Size: 1 cup hot cereal mix.
