Barbecue Beans Casserole
This terrific recipe for Barbecue Beans Casserole was submitted by Affie of Maryville, Tennessee.
2 (28-ounce) cans pork and beans
1 pound bulk sausage (such as Wamplers Farm Sausage)
3 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 (16-ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (such as Original KC Masterpiece)
- Crumble hamburger and sausage in large skillet, add onion and fry over medium heat until meat is cooked; drain excess grease.
- In large kettle, add pork and beans, hamburger mixture and the barbecue sauce, adding sauce a little at a time (to your liking).
- Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes over low heat while preparing rest of dinner.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
