Ortega Burgers with Green Chile Mayo
Tired of the same old burgers? Try these salsa and taco seasoned burgers with a tasty green chile mayonnaise.
Recipe Ingredients:
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 (16-ounce) jar ORTEGA Salsa Homestyle Recipe - divided use
2 large eggs
1 (1.25-ounce) package ORTEGA® Taco Seasoning Mix
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 (4-ounce) can ORTEGA® Diced Green Chiles
8 hamburger buns, split and grill or broil-toasted
Suggested Toppings:
Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese slices
Tomato slices
Lettuce leaves
Pickled jalapeño slices
Black olive slices
Cilantro leaves, chopped
Cooking Directions:
- Combine beef, 3/4 cup salsa, eggs and seasoning mix in large bowl. Shape into 8 burgers.
- Place mayonnaise and green chiles in blender; cover. Blend until almost smooth.
- Grill or broil burgers, turning once, until no longer pink in center.
- Serve on toasted buns topped with green chile mayonnaise and desired toppings.
