Green, White and Red Layered Dip
A colorful and festive layered dip, perfect for a Christmas party appetizer.
1 (16-ounce) container sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 envelope roasted garlic dry salad dressing mix
1 medium ripe avocado, peeled, mashed
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
1/2 cup finely chopped roasted red peppers
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Tortilla chips and/or cut-up vegetables for accompaniment
- Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and salad dressing mix. Divide into 3 portions, about 1 cup each.
- Mix 1 portion with avocado and cilantro.
- Stir in red peppers and paprika into second portion; leave third portion plain. Spoon portions into shallow bowl or pie plate; cover. Refrigerate several hours or until chilled.
- Serve with tortilla chips and/or assorted cut-up vegetables.
Makes 15 appetizer servings.
