Buttermilk Pie

Recipe Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 (9-inch) deep-dish pie shell, unbaked

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Beat together sugar, eggs, butter and flour. Mix buttermilk and lemon extract together; add to the creamed mixture. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow to cool completely before serving. Store in refrigerator.

Makes 8 servings.
