Old-fashioned, sweet-as-molasses custard pie.
1 1/2 cups molasses
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust*
- In a bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed, stir together molasses, milk, sugar, flour, beaten eggs, and vanilla.
- Pour into unbaked pie crust and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes 8 servings.
*Use store bought, ready-to-use pie pastry, or your favorite recipe for homemade pie pastry.
