Florida Shrimp and Chorizo Pizza

Recipe Ingredients:

1 (12-inch) prepared pizza crust
1 cup prepared pizza sauce
1/2 pound medium Florida shrimp, peeled and cooked
1 chorizo sausage, sliced thin
2 tablespoons chopped Florida parsley
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 ounces freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons olive oil
Crushed red pepper to taste

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place pizza crust on an oven pan; spread pizza sauce on crust up to 1/2-inch from edges.
  3. Cut shrimp into bite-size pieces and sprinkle evenly over sauce. Add chorizo slices and top with parsley, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle olive oil over top and dust with red pepper.
  4. Bake pizza for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from oven and cool 5 minutes. Slide onto a cutting board to slice.
