Gruyère, Asparagus and Prosciutto Pizza
A pre-baked pizza crust takes most of the work out of this pizza topped with olive oil, chopped garlic, Gruyère cheese, prosciutto, asparagus and red onion.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 (12-inch) pre-baked pizza crust
1 1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese - divided use
3 ounces prosciutto, julienned
5 spears asparagus, trimmed and blanched, cut in one-inch pieces
1/2 cup julienned red onion
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Place the pizza crust on a pizza pan or large baking sheet.
- Combine the garlic and olive oil and spread on the crust. Sprinkle 13/4 cups of the cheese evenly over the crust. Arrange the prosciutto, asparagus, and red onions over cheese. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the crust is lightly browned and the cheese is bubbly.
Makes 4 (2 slice) servings.
