Ham Rolls with Spinach
Turn slices of deli ham into a deliciously easy main dish your family will ask for again.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
3 slices of white bread, crumbled
1 large egg
1 tablespoon grated or finely minced onion
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 pound deli sliced ham
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Cooking Directions:
- Combine the prepped spinach, crumbled slices of white bread, egg, onion, salt and pepper in a bowl; mix well. Spoon onto sliced ham, then roll the ham slices from the narrow end jelly-roll fashion. Place seam side down in a greased baking dish.
- In a saucepan, blend butter and flour; cook over medium heat for 1 minute. Gradually stir in milk and salt; cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add the cheese, stirring until cheese melts.
- Pour cheese sauce over the ham rolls, cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes, or until heated through.
