Ham with Gingered Cherry Sauce
A deliciously easy gingered cherry sauce adds a holiday touch to baked ham.
Recipe Ingredients:
Quarter, half or whole ham
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
2 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
3/4 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon grated lime peel
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). To heat the ham allow 15 to 18 minutes per pound or until meat thermometer reaches 140°F (60°C) when inserted into middle of ham.
- To Prepare Sauce: Combine cherry pie filling, honey, lime juice, ginger, dry mustard and lime peel in a medium saucepan; mix well. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 1 minute, stirring frequently. Serve with sliced ham.
