Pork with Garlic and Nam Pla
Serve this simple Asian-seasoned pork roast with jasmine rice and stir-fried vegetables.
1/2 pound boneless pork loin, sliced 1/4-inch thick
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon nam pla (Thai fish sauce)
- In a nonstick skillet heat oil over high heat, add pork slices, cook over medium-high heat 2 to 3 minutes, turn and sprinkle pork with garlic, pepper and nam pla. Cook 2 minutes more, shaking pan to prevent garlic from burning. Serve pork immediately with pan juices.
Makes 2 servings.
