Praline Pork Tenders
With the flavor of the traditional Southern brittle confection this tasty pork dish is sure to be a hit. Serve with Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes and Mustard Green Beans & Cherry Tomatoes.
Recipe Ingredients:
2 large whole pork tenderloins, about 2 pounds total
4 teaspoons butter - divided use
1 1/2 cups maple-flavored syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup dark rum
1 cup chopped pecans
Cooking Directions:
- Melt 1 teaspoon butter in nonstick skillet. Brown tenderloins on all sides. Remove to shallow baking pan.
- Melt remaining butter in small saucepan, add remaining ingredients and blend well. Pour sauce over tenderloins.
- Roast at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes, basting often, until internal temperature reaches 155°C to160°F (approximately 65°C to 70°C).
- To serve, slice into one-inch slices and drizzle with remaining glaze.
