Seven Layer Salad

Seven Layer SaladClassic buffet and potluck salad fare, this colorful layered salad is chock-full of good stuff to eat, from top to bottom!

Recipe Ingredients:

1/2 head iceberg lettuce, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup celery, finely diced
1/4 cup onions, finely diced
1/4 cup green pepper, finely diced
1 cup frozen peas, steamed and drained
1 1/4 cups salad dressing
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1/2 pound bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

Cooking Directions:

  1. In 9x13-inch glass pan layer in following order: Lettuce, celery, onions, green pepper, and peas.
  2. Spread salad dressing over vegetables making sure to spread to edge of pan to seal.
  3. Sprinkle cheese over dressing to cover. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over cheese.

Makes 6 servings.
