Sliced Tomatoes Vinaigrette

No recipe image available.A simple salad made with some of the best tasting produce of the summer season—tomatoes and basil.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 to 3 large ripe tomatoes, cored and sliced
4 to 6 fresh basil leaves, chopped
4 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon finely ground white pepper

Cooking Directions:

  1. Arrange tomatoes and basil leaves in shallow serving bowl.
  2. Stir together well the remaining ingredients and pour over tomatoes.
  3. Can rest at room temperature for 30 minutes, or be served immediately.

Makes 4 servings.
