Sliced Tomatoes Vinaigrette
A simple salad made with some of the best tasting produce of the summer season—tomatoes and basil.
Recipe Ingredients:
2 to 3 large ripe tomatoes, cored and sliced
4 to 6 fresh basil leaves, chopped
4 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon finely ground white pepper
Cooking Directions:
- Arrange tomatoes and basil leaves in shallow serving bowl.
- Stir together well the remaining ingredients and pour over tomatoes.
- Can rest at room temperature for 30 minutes, or be served immediately.
Makes 4 servings.
