Tossed Salad with Orange Vinaigrette
A refreshing salad of mixed greens, sliced strawberries, mandarin oranges and sliced red onions tossed with an orange vinaigrette.
6 cups mixed salad greens
1 cup sliced strawberries
1 (11-ounce) can mandarin orange sections, drained
1/2 of small red onion, sliced
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
3 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar or cider vinegar
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- Toss salad greens, strawberries or orange sections and red onion in large salad bowl.
- For dressing, combine vegetable oil, orange peel, orange juice, vinegar and sugar in screw-top jar. Cover and shake well. Pour over salad greens mixture, tossing to coat.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
