The recipe for a classic Limburger cheese sandwich.
2 slices dark rye bread, 1/2-inch thick
Mustard of choice
1 thin slice sweet onion
2 to 3 (1-ounce) slices Wisconsin Limburger cheese, rind removed
- Spread each slice of rye bread with mustard; top one side of bread with onion and cheese. Cover with remaining slice of bread; cut sandwich in half.
