Turkey Pizza Burger

Turkey Pizza BurgerEasily turn leftover holiday turkey into something deliciously new with this simple recipe.

Recipe Ingredients:

3 tablespoons butter
1 cup diced celery
3 cups cooked turkey, finely chopped
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
8 (1-ounce) slices Wisconsin Provolone cheese
4 whole grain hamburger buns, split buttered and toasted

Cooking Directions:

  1. Melt butter in large skillet. Sauté celery slowly until tender. Add turkey and cook until warmed. Add tomato sauce and seasonings; simmer.
  2. Arrange bun halves on baking sheet. Spoon approximately 1/2 cup turkey mixture over each half. Top with a slice of cheese.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5 minutes, or until cheese melts.

Makes 8 servings.
