Two-Cheese Burger

Two-Cheese BurgerDouble up on the cheese and flavor with this tasty two-fisted cheeseburger.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup alfalfa sprouts
4 lettuce leaves
4 hamburger buns, sliced
8 (1-ounce) slices Wisconsin Swiss Cheese
8 (1-ounce) slices Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese

Cooking Directions:

  1. Combine meat, onion, and seasonings; mix well. Shape into four 4-inch patties.
  2. Grill or broil burgers to desired doneness.
  3. Top each burger with two slices of Wisconsin Swiss cheese; remove from heat when cheese is melted.
  4. On the bottom half of each of four hamburger buns, place alfalfa sprouts and two slices of Wisconsin Cheddar cheese. Add burger patties, additional alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, and bun tops.

Makes 4 servings.
