Two-Cheese Burger
Double up on the cheese and flavor with this tasty two-fisted cheeseburger.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup alfalfa sprouts
4 lettuce leaves
4 hamburger buns, sliced
8 (1-ounce) slices Wisconsin Swiss Cheese
8 (1-ounce) slices Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese
Cooking Directions:
- Combine meat, onion, and seasonings; mix well. Shape into four 4-inch patties.
- Grill or broil burgers to desired doneness.
- Top each burger with two slices of Wisconsin Swiss cheese; remove from heat when cheese is melted.
- On the bottom half of each of four hamburger buns, place alfalfa sprouts and two slices of Wisconsin Cheddar cheese. Add burger patties, additional alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, and bun tops.
Makes 4 servings.
