Zesty Turkey and Jack Melt
Spicy, Southwestern-style turkey and colby Jack sandwich melts with green chiles and avocado on sourdough bread.
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup salsa
2 tablespoons chopped green chiles
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
6 slices sourdough bread, toasted
1 pound shaved deli turkey breast, or leftover turkey
2 avocados, peeled and cut in 1/4 inch slices
1 cup shredded Wisconsin Colby Jack cheese
- In a medium bowl, stir together mayonnaise, salsa, chiles and cilantro.
- For each sandwich, spread 1 slice bread with mayonnaise mixture; top with turkey, avocado slices and cheese.
- Broil until topping is bubbly and lightly browned.
