Fresh Strawberry Sauce
A little sugar and orange juice brings out the sweetness of fresh strawberries. Spoon this sauce over ice cream, pound cake, pancakes or a bowl of granola with vanilla yogurt.
3 cups fresh or frozen strawberries, cleaned and hulled
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- In a blender or food processor, purée strawberries, orange juice, sugar and orange peel until smooth. Cover and refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to use.
Makes about 3 cups.
