Shanghai Baste
Soy sauce and pineapple give this spicy-hot basting sauce its Asian flair. Use it for basting grilled and roasted meats, poultry, fish and seafood.
Recipe Ingredients:
1/2 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons brown mustard
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce (or to taste)
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
Cooking Directions:
- Combine pineapple juice, mustard, cayenne pepper, soy sauce, honey and horseradish. Mix well.
Makes about 3/4 cup.
