Tandoori Rub

Tandoori RubEnjoy the taste of chicken tandoori with this simple recipe.

Recipe Ingredients:

4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
2 tablespoons curry powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (8-ounce) carton plain yogurt

Cooking Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, stir together garlic, ginger, curry powder, cumin, and salt.
  2. To use, wear disposable or plastic gloves to avoid staining your hands. Rub garlic mixture evenly onto chicken. Spread yogurt evenly over chicken.
  3. Cover and chill at for 4 to 24 hours before cooking.

Makes about 1 1/4 cups rub (enough for 3 pounds chicken).
