Green Bean Almondine Rice
This is an easy, excellent side dish for your next family get-together, or when you need to bring a covered dish to a party. The dish is sure to please and surprise all!
Recipe Ingredients:
1 (36-ounce) package STOUFFER'S Green Bean Mushroom Casserole, defrosted according to package directions
3 cups cooked white rice
1 1/3 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves (optional)
2/3 cup sliced almonds
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine green bean mushroom casserole, rice, cheese, milk and tarragon in medium bowl; transfer to 4-quart baking dish. Top with nuts.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until bubbly around edges. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
Makes 12 servings.
For Microwave Preparation: Combine green bean mushroom casserole, rice, cheese, milk and tarragon in medium bowl; transfer to a 2-quart microwave-safe dish. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for 8 minutes. Stir mixture; top with nuts. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for an additional 8 to 10 minutes or until bubbly around edges. Season with salt and ground black pepper.
