German-style green beans with bacon, onion and tomatoes.
2 strips bacon, diced
1 large onion, sliced
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 (15-ounce) can whole green beans, drained
- Fry bacon until crisp.
- Add onion and tomatoes. Simmer until cooked through, about 20 minutes, adding water as needed.
- Add beans and pepper. Heat thoroughly and serve.
Makes 2 to 3 servings.
