Twice-Cooked Green Beans
Fresh steamed green beans are best in this dish when in season, however you can also use frozen and canned green beans.
Recipe Ingredients:
4 slices, bacon, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon onion, minced
1 pound green beans, cooked and drained
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Cooking Directions:
- Sauté bacon in skillet just until crisp. Remove bacon and drain.
- Return drippings to the skillet. Add garlic and onion. Sauté just until golden. Add green beans. Sauté until heated. Add sugar. Toss to combine. Add lemon juice and pepper. Heat through.
