Really Ready Chili
A great 'busy-day' chili to feed and satisfy a hungry family.
Recipe Ingredients:
1/2 to 1 pound ground beef
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (14.5-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup picante sauce
1 (16-ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Cooking Directions:
- In a medium skillet, season with salt and pepper and brown ground beef over medium-high heat; drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce, picante sauce, kidney beans, and chopped onion. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes over low heat. Taste and season with salt and pepper, as needed.
- Sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese just before serving.
Makes 4 servings.
