Really Ready Chili

No recipe image available.A great 'busy-day' chili to feed and satisfy a hungry family.

Recipe Ingredients:

1/2 to 1 pound ground beef
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (14.5-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup picante sauce
1 (16-ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Cooking Directions:

  1. In a medium skillet, season with salt and pepper and brown ground beef over medium-high heat; drain.
  2. Stir in tomato sauce, picante sauce, kidney beans, and chopped onion. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes over low heat. Taste and season with salt and pepper, as needed.
  3. Sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese just before serving.

Makes 4 servings.
